One of the few sketches at the hometown.

One of the few sketches I made during my stay at the hometown. I thought I could sketch most of my travels but the past 3-4 months have been fairly busy to me.
It was great though. Spent most of my time meeting old and new friends, catching up with family and exploring around.
Seemed more like a holiday while continuing some study and doing freelance works.
I should keep in mind to myself that I'll start sketching more next year (new years resolution) and post more of the projects that I'm working on.
Anyways,  it feels good to be back at Jakarta.. More coffee, more Java Chip randomness to come. Happy Holidays still!

Modern Minerals collaboration.

It's been a few weeks since I did this project for Modern Minerals
This was an illustration I did for their promotional make up bag. On her hair you can read the words "Hello Gorgeous".
It's such an exciting collaboration for me because I honestly love and support all things eco-friendly; Modern Minerals is 100% cruelty-free and vegan-friendly.
I already tried a few of their eye shadows and I just love it! They are having their Holiday gift set now. Please check them out.. Cheers!
PS: Thank you so much Diane!

Merry Christmas everyone! - Mixed media live painting.

Heyhey! I'm a little under the weather today and I'm nonstop sneezing but hey, today is Christmas eve.
I just wanted to greet everyone especially to those out there whom I have made good friends with through blogging.
Also those who stop by every now and then, here's an egreeting card.
So, heres my mixed media live painting video, the secret video project I've always wanted to work on.
I don't know why I was so nervous in this video haha but oh heck.. Have a fashionable Christmas!

Behind the scenes:
Happy holidays! Cheers!

Quotes 37 - John Galliano

But I'm going to be a real good boy and take it day by day and try to concentrate on what's most important to me, and that's offering women a service.
But I'm not an artist. Maybe an artist with a small a.
I don't care about money. I really don't care. I just want to do what I do.
Dressing up. People just don't do it anymore. We have to change that.
There's room for the Gap, but the joy of dressing is an art.

It's that time of the month, christmas.

Hey.. It's that time of the month again.
I've never imagined that I'd be busy catching up on commission deadlines this month.
But nevertheless, that doesn't stop me from feeling festive. *happy happy*
So here is a piece pretty much inspired by Christmas season.
I kind of like the idea having an xmas dress to wear literally for xmas. Haha..
 Hope everyone's enjoying and excited.

Colourful hued stockings fall 2011.

what I adore about fall's colors is having bright, colorful hues.

You know your.

you know they are awake when they're not sleeping at night.

Quote 36 - Invictus

So inspiring; after watching "Invictus" for the first time days ago with my cousin where William Ernest Henley's poem was recited.  It really does keep you motivated everyday, I know I am. Here it goes:

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the Pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds, and shall find, me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll.
I am the master of my fate
I am the captain of my soul.

Phil Fashion Week SS12 - Day 7

How was the weekend? It's a long holiday here..
Yep, it was the last day of Phil Fashion Week and I actually had a good time watching the Ready to Wear collections.
They were really pleasant to look at I'm probably inspired for some doodle ideas. Spring Summer shows are always my favorite because of their colors and it was quite refreshing to see how nice PFW has become. Not to mention PFW already has it's own website already and will have its own runway mag soon (Yeah!).. I'm enjoying it here at the hometown so far.. hmm..
Posting some pics:

Catrina's beauty shoot.

Last tuesday's Avante Garde beauty shoot on model Catrina Moraga at styling class in Rxandy Capinpin's studio.
She literally had the round pink blush-on on her with glossy pop red lips.
I'm a sucker for curly big hair; Jane Beroin did a really good effort in making the curls (effort!)
..noomie loves!

Heyhey.. Hows your day?
Continuing studies has been keeping me quite busy again along with some art commissions.
I'm recently doing a commission for a make up company and others; feels such a privilege for me. It's been fun I can't wait to post the details when its done.
Anyway, another day and Philippine Fashion Week, Halloween is near. Might as well make a Halloween inspired doodle.
PS. My followers and bloglink section restarted when I changed my blog email recently. Hoping some of you would give a shoutout again so I can relink and say Hi as well..

I just love it, Lanvin FW11/12 campaign.

I just love it so much I had to post it.
Deliberately awkward and funny..
Cheers me up all the time.

Meet Justine.

Meet Justine..
But mostly everyone calls her Juzz..
She's fashionable, a tech geek and a great singer.
Always updated especially in Kpop I can't keep up. Haha..
My ultimate BFF.

Meet Dandy.

Meet Dandy..
Her real name is Yulia but we like to call each other dandy every time we meet.
In fact all the time that it would sound funny calling her by her real name.
I can say the short hair is kind of her signature look.
She's a pretty chill, easy going and cheerful kind of person..
She's my friend.

Sleeping mermaid.

a little continuation from my previous coffee post
while sipping some java chip at starbucks.. yes she is definitely a mermaid.

New days.

These new days of september has been great though its been raining hard these days..
Been wandering around meeting around old and new friends, talented fashion people as well around here during my short course.
Feels nice to have a new atmosphere for a change and to have some quiet time to work on drawing.
Anyways, an idea just popped in my head recently to work on a new secret video project.
Hopefully by the end of this year I will be able to upload it, .. for fun, art and laughter :)
I recently got a new scanner for the home and so I did a small doodle for now..
Haha I'm so going to bring this scanner back to Indo, the results is so crispy.

Cold days 2.

Hello.. Hows everything? Yesterday was Independence day in Indonesia. Just wishing a belated Independence day!
Indonesia, you will always be my 2nd home where I grew up in.
Too bad I can't come over to celebrate since I just arrived in the Philippines (home!) few days ago :)
I'm also missing my puppy, got news from my mom that his eyes are already open. He's growing so fast.
Anyways, I'm quite excited to be continuing studies again after working for a while.
Going to be here for a few months studying the business side of fashion and of course more illustration.
Hope to keep improving in illustrating. Maybe I will enjoy it here.
This drawing is pretty much a continuation from the Cold days series. I love fur, fur is great, and she wears it well :)

Hi! I was really excited this month. Finally Harry Potter showed up in the movies last Friday.
They have been having issues eversince about bringing international films here.
But anyways, things are slowly coming back. HP was so good that I even watched it for the third time. Hehe..
These days feels like time flies by really fast. It's already the first of august, time for a new illustration. :)
Hope you like, enjoy the day~
Note: Thanking my blogger friend Lisette for the feature.
As you know she's such a talented crafty person making (super cute!) stamp collectables, stationaries
drawings and everything whom I happened to stumble upon while blogwalking. So nice!

Front row at ESMOD FF 2011.

front row, Ichwan Thoha and his signature bowtie

Last week of last month, I was watching my previous university, ESMOD grad show in Pacific Place.
They were showing fashion shows from graduating students and alumni as well. Congrats to my friend who have just graduated!
I remember I did an illustration of Jakarta Fashion Week two years ago and coincidentally there's another woman in a red dress sitting in front of my view.
Also, on the front row was Ichwan Thoha, local fashion designer in Jakarta.
He's most probably easily spotted because of his signature bowtie.
Cya around..

Summer. Bold prints. Fresh.

summer. in a beautiful printed akris dress and dolce and gabbana purse.

Hi. How are you enjoying the summer so far?
I was definitely enjoying mine, last week at the beach with family and friends at Carita Anyer.
Well, it was a little different from our usual holiday because this time we went boating, fishing, caving, snorkelling n all..
And I'm sooo tanned now lol. Anyways,
Made this piece. One of my favourite things about summer, bold prints and everything.
I'm secretly a fan of Akris and particularly this dress. So so chic.
